A Letter from the President
Welcome to one of the Northeast’s most active user group since 1984, the Long Island System User’s Group or LISUG. This semester which is already under way continues to provide incredible value to our members.
We have addressed the needs of companies who are doing more with less. Our roster of sessions and speakers covers the technical spectrum that is expected from today’s information technology professionals. Whether it is the technology of pure programming and development or creating strategies to exploit it, this year’s balanced semester continues to provide meaningful content designed to increase your value and expand your professional toolkit.
The format of our monthly meetings is consistent. We start with a pre-session given by local experts who are in the trenches day after day. Next a full hour of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, all while offering unsurpassed peer networking opportunities. The next hour serves up a complete sit-down dinner accompanied by a lively Q&A session. And finally, a professionally delivered presentation with the same sessions that are offered at regional and national conferences.
Above all, I believe the most significant reason for our continued success is our loyal membership. The vast talents, skills and requirements of our members ensure LISUG will remain on the forefront of technical and business offerings. With that in mind I remind you that we are a user’s group. As such, we are always ready to listen for suggestions on how we can further extend the group’s relevance. So please share your thoughts we us. Our officers and board of director’s contact information can be found under the Organization tab of this website. I genuinely look forward to seeing you at our next event.
