HTTP Server for iSeries: Apache Application Development

Meeting will be held on October 22, 2003.
(Karen actually has 3 HTTP topics available. Most of tonight's presentation
is the one listed above, but we will also hear some introductory items from
"HTTP Server Powered by Apache - Overview" and, if time permits, some of
"HTTP Server for iSeries: Apache Advanced Topics".)
There are many features of the HTTP Server for iSeries "powered by Apache".
This session will focus on the application capabilities available for your
use.
If you have experience with HTTP servers on iSeries, this session will
expand your knowledge by delving into the following topics:
- 1. Configuring and writing CGI-BIN programs.
- 2. Using Server Side Includes for dynamic information on static pages.
- 3. Using error page customization to serve "friendly" error pages.
- 4. Using Apache Software Foundation's WebDav for
website maintenance and development.
- 5. Using the Apache API to customize the HTTP server to meet your needs.
- 6. Configuring the Search Engine.
